EMPLOYERS

Graduation is looming and you need to build experience for that dream job. The only thing is that you don’t have much or any experience. The Internship Program at South provides an opportunity to gain real work experience before graduation. Practice the new skills you’ve learned in your college program and show employers that you have real experience on your resume. An internship is an opportunity to apply the skills you have learned in a work setting. It offers many benefits:

  • Valuable practical experience in your career choice
  • Opportunities to learn about workplace realities
  • Skill development through applications at work
  • Opportunities to network in your field
  • Opportunity to earn college credits while you work Real-world Learning for Your Program

One of the most difficult tasks for an employer is making the right staffing decisions, choosing the right candidate for a position. By participating in the Internship Program, you will receive a number of benefits, including:

  • Access to students who are nearing completion of their training and possess in-demand skills.
  • Our Workforce Training Programs have Technical Advisory Committees who contribute to our curriculum development.
  • Cost-effective method of evaluating potential employees. Take our students for a "test drive".
  • Reduced training costs through hiring of interns familiar with your system. Don't start from square one and know that you are hiring someone you know.
